FAQ

What is the typical daily schedule?

Campers will receive instruction from our knowledgeable and experienced varsity coaching staff. Your child will have the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills to use within age appropriate groups in cooperative and competitive games.

What should my child bring to camp?

For safety and comfort, we ask that campers bring sunscreen, a hat, re-useable water bottles, athletic shorts, spare t-shirt, tennis shoes. For Baseball, we require athletes to bring a personal glove, helmet, and bat. For soccer, we require athletes to wear shin-guards.

Is there a nurse on campus?

Newman has a Health Center on campus, which is staffed by a certified nurse or athletic trainer during camp hours. Should your child have a tummy ache or just need a little TLC, there is always a bed to lie down on.

Tell me a little about your staff.

We believe that we have the most qualified and dedicated camp staff around. All of our sports camps are led by Newman’s Varsity Head Coaches. Adults with teaching experience supervise each age group and oversee every activity, supported by staff of camp counselors, comprised of mostly of former and current Newman varsity athletes. With a low coach-to-athlete ratio and excellent facilities, your child will gain self-confidence while developing fundamental skills in a unique and enthusiastic environment.

What about all those day-to-day activities that aren’t included here?

You must mean sunscreen, early pick-up, special events, and all those other sports camp details. A document called “Important Information” will be available to you shortly after you register.
